be HOUSE  BILL NO. 202, "An  Act relating to state  and municipal                                                               
building code requirements for fire  sprinkler systems in certain

3/22/10, which read as follows:                                                                                                 
                                                                                                                                
     Page 2, lines 14 - 17:                                                                                                     
          Delete all material.                                                                                                  
          Insert "ordinance amendment to be held within a                                                                       
     period of not less than 60 days and not more than 180                                                                      
     days."

CO-CHAIR   HERRON  explained   that  the   various  stakeholders,                                                               
including the  Alaska Municipal League, the  Alaska Homebuilder's                                                               
Association, the  Alaska Fire Chiefs Association,  and the Alaska                                                               
Realtors Association, would like to  extend the public process so                                                               
that  that  the requirement  to  hold  three meetings  can  occur                                                               
between 60 and 180 days.

recommendations  and the  accompanying zero  fiscal note.   There                                                               
being no  objection, CSHB  202(CRA) was  reported from  the House                                                               
Community and Regional Affairs Standing Committee.
